ABOUT

I was raised on a dairy farm in a small town in central Minnesota.  My three sisters and I learned at an early age that work comes before fun, church will be attended every Sunday and always watch your mouth. I had to test the boundaries as a teenager but came back to the foundations of faith as a young adult. 

 

My husband, Jeremy, and I went to the same high school but didn't really get to know each other until his brother dared him to ask me out because I, "Looked like Faith Hill and had the morals of a nun." One date and 4 months later we were married and my husband won the bet.

We thought the next step would be to have kids but God's plans are not always the same as our plans.  we had an 8 year wait before adding our first daughter.  During this waiting I went back to school for Early Childhood Special Education.    My undergraduate degree is in Health and Wellness, which came back as a passion when my sister, Theresa, asked me to run a 5k with her.  It was a quick escalation from 5k to marathon as running became my favorite hobby.

As I've journeyed through life God has deepened my trust in Him through a variety of trials from years of infertility to the loss of friends and family.  This blog has been an idea for the last few years and I'm finally stepping out to share my faith, passions, struggles and laughs.
